Recently, Dr.Sopon Pornchokchai, President, Agency for Real Estate Affairs received a Certificate of Anniversary to be a member of the International Association of Assessing (IAAO) for consecutively 20 years.  He was appointed as the Representative of the IAAO in Thailand too.  Dr.Sopon presented his paper at the IAAO annual Conference on a regular basis. In addition, he also helps write article for the journal of the IAAO too.

IAAO is a nonprofit, educational, and research association. It is a professional membership organization of government assessment officials and others interested in the administration of the property tax. IAAO was founded in 1934, and now has a membership of more than 7,000 members worldwide from governmental, business, and academic communities.

IAAO offers a number of educational programs in a variety of formats to help members gain additional education including 14 courses that are five days in length, 11 on demand online workshops, 26 one to three day programs and the like. Dr.Sopon helps organize courses of the IAAO particularly the Mass Appraisal where Dr.Sopon was the first one in Thailand constructing mass appraisal models for land readjustment scheme in Bangkok in 1990.
