Budiarsa Sastrawinata, FIABCI World President 2023-2024, extended heartfelt greetings to attendees, emphasizing the profound significance of the awards for both FIABCI and the global real estate sector: “The FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards stand as a beacon of distinction, recognizing outstanding projects that not only exemplify architectural and design brilliance but also embody the values of sustainability, community engagement, and ethical business practices,” he remarked.

Mr. Sastrawinata highlighted the importance of ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) as a guiding principle that now shapes decision-making across the industry: “Today, developers, investors, and stakeholders are increasingly realizing the importance of aligning projects with environmental sustainability, promoting social equity, and adhering to high governance standards,” he added. The awards celebrate projects that champion these values, inspiring the industry to set new benchmarks for sustainable and inclusive development.

He also noted the role of emerging trends in shaping the real estate landscape, such as smart cities, PropTech solutions, and the rise of remote work, which has driven demand for flexible and adaptable spaces.
Soelaeman Soemawinata, President of the FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards Committee, announced significant changes to the submission criteria, aimed at making the competition more accessible and inclusive. Projects now need to be completed in 9 months instead of one year, and the occupancy rate criteria have been adjusted from 50% to 35%. If any award category has fewer than three entries, those projects will be carried forward to the next year or until there are at least three contenders.
“We believe that excellence knows no boundaries,” Mr. Soemawinata stated, extending an invitation to all 21 FIABCI chapters to submit their chapter award winners for the World Prix d'Excellence Awards. For chapters without their national awards, he encouraged them to invite outstanding projects to submit directly to the World Prix Secretariat and to begin planning their chapter’s awards for future competitions.

Dr. Yu Kee Su, Secretary of the World Prix Secretariat, congratulated all the winners, celebrating their dedication and innovation. Dr.Yu also expressed gratitude for the changes made to bring more diversity and excitement to the competition and looked forward to even more outstanding entries in the future. “Your creativity and dedication inspire us all. Let's continue this journey together, celebrating excellence in real estate across the globe,” he concluded.
